I love sessions at sunset. Late evening pictures always look the best due to the softening of the sun.

One quality that Braxton inherited from his mom was his bubbly personality. He is the happiest kid! He did soooo good during his session the other day. They are both such a joy to work with.
Brayden just turned 3 and he had a airplane party. He had a blast with his planes. His mom is getting a lot of pictures because his many faces were cracking me up. I couldn't leave any out.
Photography sessions with 3 year old boys are 75% action shots. I see it as photography portraying actual life. This is what your life looks like day after day. Maybe 50 year from now you can look back and relive those toddler years.
I love maternity sessions but don't do them often enough. I had so much fun with the sweet Welborn family. Little Cohen will make his big sister Chloe so happy! I am so excited for you!
I love this candid shot. They were both kissing Chris on the cheek and Chloe thought it was hilarious. Her peck on the cheek was almost too fast to catch but I loved her laugh even better.
Pretty red nails!
I have been so blessed since I have started photography to meet some incredibly sweet people. This couple is no exception. We went to Courtney's grandparents house for this adorable county engagement session. I loved it! One of my favorite shoots yet.
Today while sitting in the play area at a local restaurant I had a little entertainment. I caught myself watching a mother and grandmother trying to catch a pictures of an 18 month old with their cell phone. Every attempt at a picture was just a blur on the screen. The grandma showed me one image where he was so fast that he wasn't even on the screen. That's when I was reminded that I had promised to set up some dates for mini sessions. Now you can get a few good images of your child and/or family without investing in a full session.
Save yourself the running and endless begging to stop and look at the camera. Let me take care of that for you. I have twin 3 year old. I'm a pro at chasing kids by now. : )
This weekend I went to Kentucky to visit my family. My nephew, Taylor, and I went out one night and played with fire, literally. Do you know what steel wool looks like when you stuff it into a whisk, attach it to a metal chain, and light it on fire? I do now. It looks awesome!!!!

I didn't have my tripod so this was me and a 20 second shutter speed trying to hold a camera steady on a bar stool. Next time I will pack accordingly. This was so much fun! I had forgotten to bump up my ISO on this shot but remembered later. I will definitely be trying this again so hopefully they will turn out even better next time.
I would like to note that it had been raining most of the day and therefore everything was very well saturated. If you try this, be cautious of your surroundings to prevent a fire.
Using Photoshop Lightroom, I adjusted the tint and white balance on all these images. There are many thing you can do to bring out different colors in the light and background.
Here are some great tutorials on how to do this yourself.
